Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how BCE Ventures LLC ("BCE Ventures", "we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the website bcev.net (the "Website"), and how visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other regions can manage their preferences. This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the website. Cookies set by the website operator are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website operator are called "third-party cookies".

We also refer to similar technologies in this Policy, such as local storage and session storage, which behave like cookies but store data inside your browser rather than as separate cookie files.

2. Categories of cookies

Cookies are commonly grouped into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the Website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms.
  • Functional: enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering choices you make (e.g. language or region).
  • Performance / analytics: help us understand how visitors interact with the Website by collecting and reporting information anonymously or in aggregate.
  • Targeting / advertising: used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content or ads on other websites.

3. Cookies and storage we currently use

Our current use of cookies and similar technologies is intentionally minimal:

  • Cookie banner preference - strictly necessary. Stored in your browser's local storage to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie banner so we do not show it on every page. Retention: until you clear your browser storage.
  • Hosting infrastructure cookies - strictly necessary. Our hosting provider Vercel may set short-lived, encrypted cookies for traffic routing, load balancing, and basic abuse protection. These cookies do not identify you personally and are not used for advertising.

We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. If we decide to add analytics or functional cookies in the future, this Policy will be updated and the cookie banner will request your prior consent where required by law.

4. Legal basis for using cookies (EU/UK)

If you are visiting from the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our use of cookies is governed by the ePrivacy rules implemented in your country and by the GDPR or UK GDPR:

  • Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website, and do not require prior consent.
  • All other cookies (functional, analytics, targeting) would be set only after we receive your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent through the cookie banner. We do not currently set any cookies in these categories.

5. How to manage cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways. Please note that removing or blocking cookies may affect your experience on the Website and some functionality may not work as intended.

  • Browser controls: most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings menu. Look for instructions under "Privacy", "Security", or "Site Settings". Common browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and Brave.
  • Private or incognito mode: most cookies are deleted automatically when you close the private browsing window.
  • Cookie banner: the banner displayed on your first visit allows you to accept, decline (where applicable), or manage non-essential cookies. Because we currently set only strictly necessary technologies, the banner is informational.
  • Clearing local storage: the cookie banner preference is stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data via your browser settings will remove it.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry or legal standard for how websites should respond to such signals, we currently do not change our behavior based on them. You can still rely on the controls described above to manage cookies.

7. Third-party services and their cookies

The Website relies on the following third-party services. Their use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by their own policies:

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice through the Website or by other means.
